Welcome to the North Cobb Orchestras.  We hope you find all the information you are looking for on this site. Look around and see all the great things the North Cobb Orchestras are doing.

The North Cobb High School Orchestra was founded in 1994. Since its inception, the orchestra has grown to over 170 members, comprising of three performing ensembles.  The orchestra has earned numerous “Superior” ratings at GMEA’s Large Group Performance Evaluation, and in 2001, the orchestra was featured at the GMEA Conference in Savannah, GA.  

 

Under the direction of Dr. Paula Krupiczewicz, 2008 to present, the North Cobb Orchestras have traveled twice abroad to London, England where they performed at Actor’s Church, Spitifield’s Market, St. Andrew’s Church, and the Emmanuel United Reformed Church in Cambridge, UK. In addition, the North Cobb Chamber Orchestra participated in the ASTA National Orchestra Festival in Tampa, Florida in 2016 and the Music for All Orchestra America Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2017. The North Cobb Orchestras have also performed center court at an Atlanta Hawks game, volunteered for the Horizon League, and played numerous outreach events in the North Cobb Community.  

 

North Cobb students regularly perform with the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra, Atlanta Youth Symphony, Emory Youth Symphony,  GMEA District 12 Honor Orchestra, and Georgia All-State Orchestra.

The Orchestra and Band founded a chapter of United Sound, a music club for students with special needs and their typical peers, in January 2017.  We started the club with 12 new musicians and 36 mentors.  Check out more about North Cobb United Sound by clicking HERE.
